Major Jackson is based in South Burlington, Vermont, and is an associate professor of English at the University of Vermont and a core faculty member of The Bennington Writing Seminars. His previous book, Leaving Saturn, was a National Book Critics Circle Award finalist, and his poems have been anthologized and have appeared in numerous journals, including The American Poetry Review, Boulevard, and The New Yorker.
